Creating A Healthy Work
Environment
The intent of the
training workshop is to provide an alternative context, for participants to consider
differently, how they think and act in the workplace, as well as provide
tools to help participants interact in a more open honest, clear and direct
way with one another, thereby enhancing the work environment, culture and
experience.
The basis of the
training workshop is to introduce a different perspective for participants to gain
further knowledge into why they react they way they do in certain situations
and how they can enhance the way they communicate with one another.
Participants will be asked to consider one or more of the following
questions:
• Who is responsible to ensure I work in a healthy environment?
• What do I contribute to a healthy workplace environment?
• What kind of behaviour makes me comfortable/uncomfortable in the
workplace?
Two complementary
bodies of knowledge will be used to provide new information and tools to
create an open discussion experience. The WEL-Systems® Institute body of
knowledge allows individuals and groups to explore who they are, which
impacts how we interact with one another; the Skilled Facilitator approach
provides tools and processes to create effective conversations.
A typical customized
training workshop
requires the following level of effort:
- Preliminary workshop design based on preliminary discussions (2.5
days)
- Consultation to ensure workshop objectives and design meet
requirements (.5 days)
- Facilitation of the training (1.3 days)
- Follow-up meeting to discuss implementation of recommendations
obtain feedback and provide resources for on-going conversations
to take place once the training is completed (.5 days)
